What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a primary contact health care profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of biomechanical conditions of the musculoskeletal system. This includes diagnosing and treating conditions related to the all areas of the body.

What a Patient Should Expect on the First Visit?

The first visit will consist of a medical history and physical examination, which will involve various medical, orthopedic, neurological, biomechanical tests. Upon completion of the history and physical exams your Doctor will explain to you the findings from the exams and provide you with a comprehensive diagnosis.  Depending on the diagnosis, your Doctor will provide a treatment plan or consider a referral for further investigation.

What Does a Treatment Involve?

Treatment will incorporate manual therapies that are safe and effective for people of all ages. Manual therapy techniques that your Doctor may use include spinal adjustments and
peripheral joint manipulation/mobilization, rehabilitation exercises, soft tissue (muscle) techniques such as ART®, laser therapy, microcurrent, ultrasound therapy, IFC, and medical acupuncture.

Chiropractors are experts at diagnosing and treating conditions affecting bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
