Lisa Regan - Registered Physiotherapist

LISA REGAN completed a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and a Certificate in Athletic Therapy at York University in 2003. Lisa then continued her education and completed a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2005.  Since 2005 Lisa has been working in private practise clinics in Markham, Toronto and British Columbia.

Lisa has taken many post graduate courses including Active Release Techniques (ART), Contemporary Medical Acupuncture at McMaster University, McKenzie courses, manual therapy courses through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and courses on the treatment and prevention of running injuries amongst many others. Lisa recently passed her Intermediate Exam (Part A Exam) in advanced manual and manipulative therapy and is working towards her Advanced (Part B) exam in manual and manipulative therapy .  

Lisa has treated patients with a variety of orthopaedic and neurological injuries resulting from sports, repetitive strain, work place injuries, and accidents. Lisa has experience treating a wide range of athletes through her physiotherapy and athletic therapy experiences. She has worked with recreational, provincial, national and professional  level athletes from a variety of sports including football, rugby, soccer, hockey, running, adventure racing, mountain biking, triathlon, cycling, lacrosse, dance and gymnastics amongst others.

Lisa is very active herself. She is an avid runner and triathlete. Lisa has completed numerous marathons and triathlons. Lisa competed for TEAM CANADA in the world championships for sprint triathlon in Vancouver BC and also completed Ironman Lake Placid. Lisa also plays baseball, hockey, ultimate frisbee and soccer.

Lisa specialises in adapting rehabilitation programs to each individual’s unique lifestyle and the specific demands of their sport, job and recreational activities. Lisa will work with you to develop a unique rehabilitation program that will improve on your strengths and prevent injuries.
